Hello, I'm Scott Messner, the founder of Blackstrype Compass Consulting. With over two decades in the software industry, I've worn many hats: developer, architect, team lead, and mentor. I've worked on everything from high-frequency messaging systems to modern web applications.
Throughout my career, I've observed a recurring pattern: talented teams often get bogged down not by technical challenges, but by a subtle friction between their development process, codebase health, and the business's ultimate goals. This is where I find my passion.
I started Blackstrype Compass Consulting to do more than just write code. I wanted to help organizations navigate the complexities of software development, align their engineering efforts with their business vision, and empower their teams to do their best work.
